I knew I wanted to be an actress from the age of seven. I acted in plays whenever I could in elementary
and high school. I studied acting in college. It wasn't easy during those years because I came from a poor family that gave me
neither material support or encouragement as an actress. I had to find the resources within myself. I found them in hard work,
faith and inspiration.
I was especially impressed with Sally Field's performance in Sybil, in which she plays a character with
multiple personalities. The performance was a beacon as I embarked on a career in modeling as well as acting. In the early
days I acted in commercials, training videos and industrial films, always striving to improve my craft. And I'm still studying
in Bobbie Chance's acclaimed Hollywood television and film acting class, "Expressions Unlimited".
As I pursue my career, I think of myself as "The Missionary Actress," a designation that captures my personality
and my desires. My faith has given me the strength to turn down opportunities that may have advanced my career in the direction
I so passionately wanted, but would have compromised, or violated, my deepest values. Even so, I've made some bad choices
(and you thought I was perfect!), but I'd like to believe I've made the best of them and grown as a person and as an actress.
